F1659 was purchased by the Orange County Fire Department in 1971.  F1659 is a Tractor Drawn Aerial (TDA) or commonly referred to as a Tiller.  F1659 is one of twelve TDA’s produced by Crown Firecoach.  F1659 first served in the City of Irvine as Truck 4 next to the college campus of UCI.  F1659 was sold at an auction and was purchased by the City of San Mateo.  The City of San Mateo traded out the aerial ladder with another Crown Fire Truck.  F1659 was then sold to a paint contractor.  The paint contractor damaged the aerial ladder and sold it to Turner Auto Wrecking in Fresno, CA.  F1659 was purchased from Turner Auto Wrecking and now resides in Riverside, CA
