OVERVIEW:
The restoration project was informally started the day we bought the Tiller. Let's face it, the ORCO Tiller is in real bad shape and at least with the restoration with us, the aerial ladder will not be fixed. I've attempted several times over the last three years to acquire a spare Maxim Ladder, but I've received over priced inflated offers. The restoration on this tiller will be in two parts. Part I will be the tractor and Part II will be the trailer. The motor is not running and the tractor is in very poor shape. The projected end date for the tractor will be sometime in 2015. During the next couple of years, I plan on getting ideas and plans done for the trailer. I may even look for a Seagrave TDA from LAFD to remove the trailer and replace the Crown Trailer. As of now here is a list of the system components, that will need to be restored for the Tractor on F1659. We separated the Tractor from the Trailer in August of this year. The unit together was almost impossible to move just due to the dead weight.
