One of the most difficult pieces to restore, locate or bargain for is the Grab Handrails in the firefighter jumpseat location. When most of the Firecoach's got a metal roof, fiberglass roof or were enclosed the grab handrails were modified or removed. Another very unique feature also was, Crown did such custom work that the curvature on the body can be very different as compared to other Crown's. This has been pointed out to me by CFE Member Mike Britt and Darrel Gilbert. It is also very difficult to find a business to bend the stainless steel tubing. Here is a picture of F#1246 with the grab handrails before the metal roof was added:

You can see in the above picture, that the grab handrails were shorten and moved to the outside of the body.
CFE Member Darrel Gilbert directed me to INDUSTRIAL METAL SUPPLY Co. in Riverside, CA, in my own backyard. Come to find out they sell the stainless steel tubing and at a very reasonable price. You can find the contact information for INDUSTRIAL METAL SUPPLY Co. on F#1246 RESTORATION RESOURCE PAGE. To replace all the stainless steel tubing, I purchased a total of 40'. The specification are the following:
SSTRD1250016304ORNPB
1-1/4 OD x 16ga (0.065) Stainless Steel Round Tube Ornamental 304 Polished and Buffed ASTM-A554
Total Price with Tax for 40' $368.00 basically it is $9.20 a foot with tax in California.
I was able to acquire the brackets over the last couple of years from parting out some Crowns. I am attempting to locate the brackets by businesses.
