HALL-SCOTT RESORATION

When I bought F1246, I was told the Engine was running rough and had a head gasket coolant leak.  I thought not too bad, we will just get a tune up and replace the gasket.  Boy, was I in for a treat.  We took the pumper over to Frank's Small Engine Repair in Rialto, CA.  They took apart the top end of the motor and we found the following:

Cam Shaft wore out
Head Cracked
Rocker Towers Cracked
Piston rings wore out
Timing Belt wore out

So, the next six months became an adventure.  I spent the next six months tracking down parts from various places in the US.  I quickly learned that Hall-Scott is rare and the parts are even more scarce.  Many thanks to Spike McQueen from Hall-Scott Motors for assisting and helping out. 

Well eventually we got the parts and the motor was put back together.  It runs great now and there is no coolant leak spraying all over the driver and passengers.
